Calculation field

The Calculation field shows a live total from other fields as the visitor types or uses a slider. The same formula is run again on the server when the form is submitted, so the stored result cannot be faked in the browser.

Add a calculation

1. Drag a Calculation field onto the form.
2. Write a formula that references other fields (add, subtract, multiply, divide, brackets).
3. Optionally use min, max, round, abs, ceil or floor.
4. Set decimal places, a prefix or suffix (for example a currency symbol), and separators.
5. Save — the builder blocks formulas that refer to each other in a loop.

Where the result appears

• Formatted in notification and confirmation emails, Slack notifications and entry details
• As a plain number in CSV exports

Charge a calculated total

Enable the free Stripe Payments add-on, turn payments on for the form, and choose the Calculation field as the amount source. The plugin adds no transaction fee; Stripe’s processing fees still apply.
