Help center for Auto Form Builder
Stripe Payments
Stripe Payments
Stripe Payments is a free built-in add-on (off by default). It sends visitors to Stripe Checkout for a one-time payment, then records payment status on the submission. Auto Form Builder adds no transaction fee — you pay only Stripe’s standard processing fees.
Enable it
- Open Forms → Add-Ons.
- Enable Stripe Payments.
- Add your Stripe secret key (use test keys while you configure).
The plugin creates the Stripe webhook for you so payment events reach your site.
Turn payments on for a form
- Edit the form and open its payment settings.
- Enable payments for that form.
- Choose the amount source:
- a fixed price
- a Number field the visitor enters (optional min and max)
- a Calculation field total
- a Products field. Checkout is itemized: each product is on its own line with its quantity
- Submit a test payment in test mode, then switch to live when ready.
After payment
- Submissions show a Payment column, filter and per-entry payment panel.
- CSV exports include payment data.
- Refunds made in Stripe sync back to the entry.
- Notification emails for a payment form send once Stripe confirms payment, and can include
{payment_amount},{payment_currency},{payment_status}and{payment_id}.
What is not included
This release does not include PayPal, subscriptions or recurring billing, coupons, embedded (on-page) Checkout, or Stripe Tax. Recurring billing is coming soon.
